Spring Black Bear

Spring Black Bear. We hunt using spot and stalk methods. Spring Bear do very well in our hunting area due to the excellent food supply. The spring hunt is the best trophy hunt because the bears have a good coat of hair coming out of hibernation. Most of the black bears taken average around 6' to 7'. The spring hunt is a "controlled hunt drawing" but your chances of drawing a tag are nearly 100%. The deadline for the drawing is the 10th of February.

We hunt several different locations on private and public lands for Columbia Blacktail. These hunts are conducted in prime areas in Douglas, County. We mainly use spot and stalk methods.
